Adbrook Center for Lifestyle Wellbeing

Bridging timeless holistic traditions with today’s science—so people and places can flourish. We translate evidence into everyday practices across four integrated domains.

Our Purpose

Holistic health is as old as the ages—and as new as today. The Adbrook Center maintains an ongoing scan of the science on lifestyle wellbeing and translates it into actionable guidance for individuals, families, organizations, and communities. We help people engage in proactive self-care across all domains of wellbeing and quality of life. *Please note* - we offer this information for educataional purposes only. This is not intended to diagnose or treat any condition and should not take the place of regular healthcare. If you have a health concern, please contact your healthcare provider or therapist.

Four Integrated Domains

Two Sides of the Same Coin

  • Pain, fatigue & energy management

Spirit–Purpose

Meaning, values, and purpose as stabilizers of health—cultivating hope, gratitude, and moral elevation through service and reflection.

  • Purpose & values alignment
  • Mindfulness, awe & gratitude
  • Service, ethics & ritual

Community–Organizational

Social wellbeing at every scale—relationships, teams, and institutions designed for belonging, fairness, and mutual support.

  • Belonging & social support
  • Healthy cultures & leadership
  • Access, equity & psychological safety

Eco–Environmental

Natural and built environments—and the “stuff” around us—shaping mood, attention, and health (beauty, light, sound, air, and toxins).

  • Nature contact & biophilic design
  • Art, music, soundscapes vs. noise
  • Air, light, materials & clutter
